Admission Programme

Admission Programme

Our admission Committee takes care of the admissions of children with the cooperation of parents. Every year at the end of the academic year, the School conducts Identification camps and awareness programs, visiting all possible villages in and around Vizianagaram. Parents of Deaf children are educated and motivated to send their children to the school. The education and hostel facility are free to all children irrespective of caste, creed sex and sect. Uniforms and shoes are also provided free of cost to all the children of BPL families. The applications for admission are received from the week of June and closed in the month of August every year. But the Admission Committee reserves the right to admit any child at any time depending upon the need. Generally children in the age group of 5 to 18 years are eligible for admission subject to the production of Medical certificate.

Students at SMRPRC School for the deaf fulfill the same basic curriculum followed by any normal child but these are exempted from language subjects. Reading skills are emphasized in the Primary level. The entire program is designed to motivate children and increase independent reading while giving teachers detailed and objective information about children’s reading abilities. There are a number of books and story books in the Library. The teacher determines what books are appropriate for different children depending on their reading capabilities. Our children evince keen interest in drawing, dance, and Marshall arts. They also make field trips to local, State and out of State places of interest to equip themselves with latest trends in the world.
